European weather satellite launch postponed

MOSCOW, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The lift-off of a European weather satellite from the Baikonur space center has been delayed for a day, Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) said on Tuesday.

"The launch has been postponed. It will take place at the same time tomorrow," a Roscosmos spokesman said.

The Metop-A European weather satellite, aboard a Soyuz-2 rocket, was scheduled to lift off at 8:28 p.m. Moscow time (1628 GMT) on Tuesday. Enditem
