SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 -- Intel Corp may reveal some details of its effort to provide chips for a new group of wireless hand-held computers, the New York Times said yesterday. The advances would be announced this week at a conference, the Intel Developer Forum, in Beijing, the newspaper said. Intel is interested in speeding the development of what it calls mobile Internet devices, larger than today's palmtops and smaller than notebook computers, the Times said. The hand-held computers would be based on a new low-power adaptation of the company's X86 microprocessor designs called McCaslin, the newspaper said, accoring to Bloomberg News.
