H3C to invest 15% of revenues into R&D
2007-11-20 02:32:24 Shanghai Daily

HUAWEI-3COM, a leading global end-to-end IP networking solution provider, said today that it will invest 15 percent of its sales income into research and development.

The company also issued a plan today targeting corporate clients with Intel Corp and Rising Corp.

H3C Technologies Co Ltd, which is jointly owned by 3COM Corp and Huawei, was established in November 2003. It is headquartered in Hong Kong and has R&D centers in Hangzhou, Beijing and Shenzhen.

In 2006, the company reported US$712 million in revenue, its third straight year with 70-percent annual growth.

3COM Corp, the money-losing computer networking equipment maker, has agreed to be taken over by Bain Capital LLC.

Shenzhen-based Huawei will hold a 16.5 percent stake as part of the acquisition, which is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.
