2007-11-27 02:19:03 Shanghai Daily

Air China will launch Internet and phone services on flights next year, a Beijing-based maritime satellite service provider said today.

Surfing online will cost passengers 10 US cents per megabyte. Making phone calls will cost US$2 per minute.

Beijing Marine Communication and Navigation Company, founded in 1979, is a leading operator of satellite communication services in China.

The company is solely authorized to supply Inmarsat services on the Chinese mainland, including mobile voice and high-speed data services.
