Nepal to hold 1st national water conference

KATHMANDU, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- A national water conference is to be held in Nawalparasi district in western Nepal on Dec. 29-30,the National News Agency RSS reported on Thursday.

Nepal's water resources related treaties will be discussed during the two-day conference, the first of its kind in Nepal, will discuss according to the RSS.

Experts on water resources and representatives of political parties will attend the conference, which will be jointly held by the West Gandak Canal Irrigation System Users' Committee, Indreni Community Development Forum, National Irrigation Water Users' Committee and Water and Energy Federation, the RSS said.
