Netflix to unlimit online movie viewing

BEIJING, Jan. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. online DVD rental service Netflix will begin offering unlimited online movie streaming to customers on their 16.99 U.S. dollar per month plan starting Monday, media reported Monday.

Netflix has previously offered limited movie streaming to its more than 7 million subscribers.

For instance, under the plan that charges 16.99 dollar per month to rent up to three DVDs at a time, Netflix customers could watch as many as 17 hours of entertainment each month on the streaming service.

With Monday's change, virtually all Netflix subscribers will be able to stream as many movies and TV shows as they want from a library of more than 6,000 movies. There will be no additional charge for the unlimited access.

However, the offer will not be available to Netflix customers who pay 4.99 dollar to rent up to two DVDs per month.
