BEIJING, April 21-- A multi-purpose, light plane designed by China Aviation Industry Corporation has completed it's maiden test flight in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The plane, named Hawk 500, is expected to get a Model License from Chinese Civil Aviaton Bureau later this month and 24 will be manufactured by the end of the year.

It's the first plane of the kind in China that will be available for sale to civilians.
