CAMERA CLUB WINNER: Orlando Camera Club
Narrative:
In just four years, the Orlando Camera Club (OCC) has grown from an idea in the minds of five local photographers into a vibrant group of nearly 500 members. This club strives to address the needs of photographers at all skill levels through mentoring, community service, field trips, and educational programs. The OCC endeavors to provide a showcase and an opportunity for the growth of photographers of all interests through themed competitions and monthly critiques by independent judges. The club's interest in nature photography is evident from the 352 entries that our photographers submitted, making it difficult to choose a representative selection for our club's entry to the Nature's Best Photography Awards competition for 2008. The OCC members enjoy the outdoors and the wonderful photo opportunities it provides."
