SOUNDBITE: CHEECH MARIN, SAYING:
"We've had the younger audience all along. Every time they hit that certain age, they go through that Cheech & Chong period of watching the movies, listening to the records. So, it's almost like a right of passage"
Here's a taster, for the uninitiated.
UPSOUND FROM MOVIE "CHEECH AND CHONG'S UP IN SMOKE"
Cruising down the freeway in a cloud of marijuana smoke - from Up in Smoke, one of eight hit movies for Cheech and Chong.
They also put out nine comedy albums between the early 70s and mid-80s, when they split over "creative differences".
HInts from the comedy pair that they'll be serving up more of the hugely popular same - stupid things will be said and done while stoned.
And, there will be food, they say no one will be leaving their shows with "the munchies".
SOUNDBITES:
TOMMY CHONG, SAYING:
"And mucho (a lot) of tortillas."
CHEECH MARIN, SAYING:
"And tacos libres (free tacos)."5
You heard it here, free tacos - and suitable props - at Cheech and Chong's LIght Up America comeback tour.
Expect a whiff of a certain something in the air.
