Talk of the Town: Busted

STORY: Ryan O'Neal and his son Redmond have been busted. Police arrested the actor and his son by Farrah Fawcett on suspicion of drug possession after finding narcotics in their Malibu home. Police were doing a routine check of the home as a result of 23-year-old Redmond's guilty plea to drug possession in June.

Britney and Jamie Lynn's mom says she found out about her younger daughter's pregnancy through a note. Lynne Spears, in an interview with NBC, says she was initially shocked. Jamie Lynn, the "Zoey 101" star, gave birth to a daughter in June. She and her boyfriend are now engaged.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has topped People magazine's best dressed list for women. Others on the top 10 list including actresses Kate Hudson, who stars in the upcoming "My Best Friend's Girl," and Anne Hathaway, soon to appear in "Rachel Getting Married. And making a campaign statement for fashion -- is Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Back in high school they used to call it going steady and that appears to be the case for teen star Miley Cyrus and her new guy, Justin Gaston. The two, who've been spotted together all over town, we're seen taking a stroll at the Universal City Walk.

Gwyneth Paltrow isn't fond of dieting. While the Oscar-winning actress always appears slender, she says she has a hard time sticking to a diet. Instead, the 35-year-old Paltrow prefers to hit the gym to keep her red carpet look. She can be seen next in "Spain On the Road again" It's a cooking show that will air on public television.

Josh Brolin's role as President George W. Bush in Oliver Stone's biopic W is creating a buzz ahead of the film's October release. The actor, though, is laying low about his arrest from a bar fight during filming. The 40-year-old tells W magazine that he did nothing wrong, but can't tell his story until the case goes to court in December.

Metallica rocked the U.S. album charts. The heavy metal band's latest release, sold nearly a half a million copies to secure the top spot with "Earth Magnetic." It's the group's fifth straight No. 1 hit.
