Straw work of art

An artist in India's eastern Bihar state has transformed commonplace straw into extraordinary art work.

Rajeev Kumar makes use of straw, used as fodder for animals in creating eye catching art works.

For Rajeev the rendezvous with straw began while visiting neighbouring West Bengal state, where he first came across such paintings.

Attracted by their beauty, Rajeev learnt the basic technique and upon returning, perfected the art by constant practising.
