Chinese scientists tackle Antarctica

China starts work on the its first inland Antarctic research station

The 28-member Antarctic expedition arrived at the area's highest icecap, Dome Argus, on Tuesday (January 6), state media reported. The Kunlun research station is situated 7.3 kilometres away from the peak, which stands at 4,093 metres above sea level.
