At least 15 houses are destroyed by bushfires in Victoria, southern Australia.
The high temperatures have caused power cuts in Melbourne and hospitals have ben inundated with emergency calls. Temperatures are hovering above 40 degrees celsius, with weather officials saying that this could be the worst heatwave that Australia has seen in 100 years.
