Australian PM speaks of fire grief

During a parliament session which was convened to pay condolences to the fire victims, Rudd spoke of a "common resolve to rebuild each of these communities so these communities can live again".

At least 173 people died and more than five hundred people were injured when bushfires fanned by winds swept through the townships in the southern state of Victoria.
