Body art depicts Obama

It's sunset in Athens and this is a new art form called fusionism.

It combines abstract painting and choreography - and in this case the models are virtually naked.

Ten men and women have had their bodies painted by a Swiss artist known simply as Dave.

Only when they come together does his full picture emerge.

And whether the Pope approves isn't clear.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) SWISS ARTIST "DAVE", CREATOR OF THE LIVE ART PERFORMANCE, SAYING:

"A lot of days before I have really a lot to think how I want to do the performance, this is really hard, and then it's the performance - it's really hard and the painting -- I start at eight o'clock in the morning and now I stay here."

Dave is one of several Swiss artists taking part in a project called Art Marathon.

Every year for the next 42 years an artist will travel to a different country to showcase his or her work.

Athens was chosen for the first performance because the marathon - all 42 kilometres if it - was created in Athens.

The aim is to get people around the world thinking about current issues.

And the new US President was perhaps an obvious subject for this first art show.

He's no doubt been painted by numerous artists in recent months - but few have had quite as much bare-faced cheek.
