Carrying their little girl Suri and a toy elephant - Mr and Mrs Cruise - otherwise known as TomKat made a low key entry to Japan.
They were there to promote Tom Cruise's new film Valkyrie in which he plays a German Colonel in the second world war who attempts to kill Hitler.
As the couple emerged into the arrivals hall there was a silence as if no one could believe such global superstars could be do anything so normal.
But soon fans were clamouring for Tom Cruises autograph and capturing their arrival on their mobiles.
Katie and Suri stood back from crowd - but still were rewarded with gifts.
Suri took it all in her stride - but then she was voted Hollywood's Hottest Tot last year and probably know how to preserve her image.
It was Cruise's first time in Japan and he said he was very excited.

"We're gonna hang out. We're gonna see some sights, you know, and we want to eat great sushi that they have here, and just looking forward to seeing some friends."
The Hollywood star of blockbusters "Top Gun" and "Mission Impossible," is expected to greet his Japanese fans in Tokyo and Osaka next week as part of his world tour to promote his film.
