Anger over bonuses paid at bailed-out insurance giant AIG have threatened to overshadow Obama's economic agenda.

The firestorm over AIG and its business-as-usual bonuses has strained Obama's image as a crusader for change. Analysts say it could also hamper his efforts to pull the economy out of a deep recession.
