Queen Latifah is being sued by a makeup artist and a fashion stylist claiming the Oscar-nominated star cheated them out of 1 million dollars (USD). The duo claim Latifah failed to pay them for services rendered from July 2005 through February 2008. Latifah's spokesperson says the lawsuits have no merit.

The film is based around Cohen's popular character Bruno, a gay fashion reporter for Austrian TV. The film is being re-edited and re-submitted to The Motion Picture Association of America in hopes for a more lenient "R" rating.
