The oracle octopus Paul goes on with his world Cup forecasts and opted for Spain over Germany in the semifinal
Another revealing surprise by oracle octopus Paul; Germany will be eliminated at World Cup Semifinals on Wednesday.
From his home at the Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, Paul the octopus predicted a German defeat by Spain, only hours before the match was to begin.
Sea-life employee Sebastian Krueger hopes that perhaps Paul, in a moment of confusion, may have gotten his boxes wrong.
"Paul opted for Spain this time, which is a little sad. Paul did his job fast, as we like him to do. I just hope for Paul that he can have another try and that this time he has been wrong for once"
The eight-limbed oracle has had a 100 percent correct guess rate for the German results during this World Cup series, predicting a German win against Argentina, and he will have another chance to show off his tentacles if Germany beats Spain on Wednesday.
He would then have the chance to predict the outcome of the final match between Germany against Uraquay or the Netherlands.
