Stars sizzle in hot fashions at Emmy Awards.
It was a day of glitz and glamour on the red carpet Sunday (August 29) as television's biggest stars posed for cameras before entering the Nokia Theatre for the three hour Emmy telecast.
Newlyweds and "True Blood" stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer sizzled on the red carpet.
Fashion forward Paquin wore a black asymmetrical gown with gold detailing by Alexander McQueen.
"Project Runway's" Heidi Klum was outfitted in a black Marchesa mini dress.
"Mad Men's January Jones wore a regal blue Versace gown.
Christina Hendrick's, the muse to the many ad men on "Mad Men," showed off her decolletage with a low-cut and flowing Zac Posen dress.
Glee's resident songbird Lea Michele, looking thinner than on the show was outfitted in an Oscar de la Renta flamenco gown.
Jane Lynch, who went on to win an Emmy later that night for her work as the sadistic cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on "Glee," wore a deep purple, one shoulder dress from Ali Rohimi.
Colombian bombshell Sofia Vergara, the youthful second wife to an older man on comedy "Modern Family," stayed sunny with a strapless Carolina Herrera gown.
Men for the most part stayed traditional, wearing black tuxes or black suits with dark ties.
