Naomi Campbell throws shapes for D&G while Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicky Hilton sit front row at the Diane von Furstenberg.
Naomi Campbell celebrated 25 years in the fashion industry with a dance.
Fresh from her courtroom drama at the Hague, the supermodel and former dancer showed off her moves outside the Dolce & Gabbana store in New York.
She and her fellow dancers were wearing t-shirts made for the anniversary proceeds going to her charity "Fashion For Relief".
The event was held for "Fashion Night Out", a global shopping event intended to jump start the industry from recession.
At the Diane von Furstenburg show, celebrities came out in full force to take their place on the front row.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicky Hilton and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper were on hand to watch the show.
Furstenburg's showed a flirty collection with floaty fabrics and swirly prints.
Standout pieces included the designer's classic wrap dress but this time with a hood as well as a kaftan with Grecian print.
The designer said spring/summer 2011 was inspired by the Mediterranean.
SOUNDBITE: Diane Von Furstenberg, Fashion Designer, saying (English):
"The big deal about this collection is that I have a new creative director and so it's a new marriage and I think it's a marriage made in heaven and so I think you will find a lot of freshness in this collection and I think it's really nice."
New York Fashion Week ends on September 16 with the fashion pack heading to London the following day.
