Banksy makes morbid "Simpsons" opener

British street artist Banksy is coming under for fire for his work on "The Simpsons." Banksy designed an alternate opening sequence for the animated show, which some have criticized as being too extreme and morbid.

The spot features Asian sweatshop workers drawing the cartoon and workers throwing cats into a shredder and using their fur to stuff Bart Simpson toys.

Then a panda is used to haul wagon-loads of the dolls, while a decapitated dolphin head is used to seal boxes. Finally, a chained and emaciated-looking unicorn is used for punching holes in the middle of DVDs.

Much of "The Simpsons" animation is outsourced to South Korea.

No word from Fox if it's a tongue-in-cheek look at that, or just some old Simpsons fun.
