"I wasn't, you know, I was worried that I had bitten off more than I could chew. But, I worked really hard and I thought I will do the best that I can and I don't know what the end result will be. But, there were a couple of days where I thought that this was intense."
"Country Strong" tells the story of a rising young singer-songwriter (Hedlund) who gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star, played by Paltrow. The pair embarks on a career comeback tour planned out by her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer. Romantic entanglements and old demons though threaten to derail their path to resurrection.
For the 38-year-old Paltrow, whose married to "Coldplay" rocker Chris Martin, the film's live scenes were a challenge.
