New James Bond movie set in Shanghai

Huzzah. Skyfall, the new James Bond movie coming out on October 26th, is going to feature scenes filmed and set in Shanghai! The narcissistic lobes in our brain are practically throbbing at this new teaser footage of various assistant directors praising the filmability of Shanghai's modern facade in Pudong.

Which just goes to show, adding some blue neon lights to Yan'an Elevated Road so totally doesn't count as wasteful municipal spending.

Starring Daniel Craig (looking dapper and world-weary in a gleaming hotel bar), Ralph Fiennes, Judi Dench and Javier Bardem as the villain, Skyfall promises to explore Bond's "troubled psyche", according to director Sam Mendes. Sounds par for the course for a filmmaker who counts American Beauty and Jarhead among his credits.

Also, stunt driving during the film's scenes in Istanbul will also be performed by none other than The Stig.

No word as yet on whether a scene with Bond on the Bund is included in the film.
