President Hu holds welcoming ceremony for Putin

Russian president Vladimir Putin arrived at the Great Hall of People Tuesday afternoon, where President Hu Jintao hosted a welcome ceremony in honor of the Russian president.

Afterwards, the two heads of state will have talks for as long as two hours before attending the signing ceremony for cooperation documents between the two countries. Then they will appear together before the media. A welcoming banquet will be held at night.
