A giant squid was discovered off the south coast of Austrlia by The Daily Telegraph columnist Al McGlashan.
The squid was being eaten by an 8 foot blue shark at the time. However, after inspecting the giant squid it was said to have been either killed by a sperm whale or possibly died of old age since squids generally have a life expectency of only about 12 months.
