LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- The deaths of six people who were found dead Wednesday in a rural area near Seattle led to the arrest of two suspects, police said.

The bodies were found at a property in King County east of Seattle, and police later arrested the property owners' daughter and her boyfriend, said a police official who refused to be named.

Police identified the victims as a boy about age 3, a girl about age 6, a man and woman in their 30s, and a man and woman in their 50s. Their names were not released, but they were "likely three generations" of one family, King County sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said.

The two suspects are Michele Anderson, 29, and her boyfriend, Joseph McEnroe. Both were booked into the King County Jail late Wednesday for investigation of six counts of homicide, according to police.

Urquhart said the cause of deaths apparently was gunshots, and the victims were likely killed late afternoon or early evening on Christmas Eve.

Autopsies would be performed on the bodies to determine the cause of deaths, he said.

The police officer added that the bodies were found by a co-worker of one of the victims who had come to the house because one of the victims, who works for the Postal Service, did not report to work.

He said police arrested the suspects who came to the crime scene after investigators arrived there.

The motive for the killing was not immediately known.
