STOCKHOLM, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Masked robbers fled away after taking some 26.7 million Danish kroner (5.23 million U.S. dollars) from a cash van on Thursday in Denmark, according to news reaching here from Copenhagen.
In the second largest bank robbery in Demark, a gang of four masked robbers, without using any weapons, took the money out of the van in Brabrand, near the second largest city of Aarhus, and has since been on the run, the Danish news agency quoted police assaying.
The Danske Bank, the robbery victim, has offered a reward of 200,000Danish kroner (39,200 dollars) for clues leading to the arrest of the robbers.
Seven years ago, some 41.5 million kroner (8.13 million dollars) were robbed in the largest bank robbery in the country. Three people got prison sentences for the robbery, buy the whereabouts of the money were never found.
