Explosion hits Tajikistan's capital, no injuries

ALMATY, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- A grenade exploded in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe, causing no injuries, news reaching here said Friday.

The incident happened Friday at 7:00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT),when a grenade blew up about 50m away from the municipal government building.

Police immediately cordoned off the site and launched investigation into it, Interfax News Agency quoted Tajikistan's Interior Ministry as saying.

A blast hit central Dushanbe last November, killing one person.
