Earthquake shakes Atlantic Ocean

BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale stirred the Atlantic Ocean at 17:38 Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Seismological Monitoring Network.
The epicenter was located at mid-Atlantic ridge, 10.7 degrees north latitude and 41.9 degrees west longitude, about 1,200 km away from the nearest land, the report said.
