ISLAMABAD, March 17 (Xinhua) -- A Pakistan People's Party (PPP)leader Ch. Ahmed Mukhtar Monday said his party had not yet decided the candidate of future Prime Minister.
The consultation was in progress at present and once a decision was finalized it would be made public, Ahmed Mukhtar told reporters outside the National Assembly.
The Associated Press of Pakistan quoted Ahmed Mukhtar as saying that a decision in this regard would reflect the party's opinion. "It is not a single man show," he said.
Mukhtar said PPP's Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari had the power to make a decision of his choice but he had adopted the consultative approach to keep the party united in the aftermath ofBenazir Bhutto's assassination.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday said nomination of premiership candidate depended on PPP leadership's decision. He added that nominations for cabinet would be finalized within a few days.
The first session of the newly elected members of National Assembly (MNA) was summoned on Monday when the MNAs took oath.
