Palestinians militants launch a fresh barrage of rockets from Gaza into Israel in apparent retaliation to the killing of three of their gunmen by Israeli troops.
Hamas and the Islamic Jihad militant groups have claimed responsibility for the attacks. The Israeli army said at least seven rockets and 10 mortar shells were fired across the border. The violence has dampened hopes of a renewed truce. A meeting between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni is expected to restore prospects of a new deal. But Hamas and Israel are trying to push for new terms.
