WASHINGTON, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Five were found killed on Tuesday in northwest Alabama, the United States, apparently as a result of a suspected family feud, police said.
Local police said that they found Kevin Lee Garner's body near his house in Morgan County.
The 40-year-old man was the top suspect in the deaths of his wife, daughter, sister and nephew, whose bodies were found in a house in Greenhill earlier the day, said the police.
During the searching, police also found that Garner's house was burned and a car parking nearby belonged to one of the victims.
Police suspected that Garner committed suicide after killing four relatives but the case was still under investigation.
Garner and his wife were undertaking divorce proceedings and had a hearing scheduled on Monday, which was, however, postponed until Wednesday, it added.
The United States has been shocked by several shooting incidents in the past two weeks. The latest took place in New York State last weekend, when a Vietnamese American broke into an immigration service center and shot 13 dead before taking his own life.
