LOS ANGELES, April 7 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and three others wounded when a lone gunman opened fire at a Korean Christian retreat Tuesday in Riverside County near Los Angeles, police said.
The shooting took place at the Kkottongnae Retreat Camp after sunset, Riverside County sheriff's spokesman Dennis Gutierrez said.
Among the wounded, at least two were in critical condition, and the gunman was believed to be among the injured, Gutierrez said.
The motive behind the shooting was not immediately known, Gutierrez said.
A gunman had shot his wife, police rushed to the scene but found that one person was dead and the other three were hospitalized, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Mario Lopez.
He refused to give details but said investigators believe all the victims are over age 40.
