MEXICO CITY, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Guatemala was rocked Sunday by a strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake, Guatemala radio stations said on Sunday.
According to reports reaching here from Guatemala City, the quake occurred at 11: 21 a.m local time (1621 GMT) and with a deepness of 104.2 kilometers.
Its epicenter was 70 kilometers west of the capital of Guatemala City, where the quake was lightly, said the radio stations.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of 6.1 and was centered 45 kilometers east-southeast of Quetzaltenango, the country's second-largest city. It said that no casualties have been reported.
