Brazil's former royal descendant onboard missing Air France jet

RIO DE JANEIRO, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The former royalty of Brazil confirmed on Monday that a member of the family was onboard the Air France airliner that went missing off the Brazilian coast Sunday night, local media reported.

Pedro Luis de Orleans e Braganca, a prince of the former royal family, left Rio de Janeiro Sunday evening aboard the Air France plane, said the former royal family.

Pedro, 26, was returning to Luxemburg where he lives after visiting his family in Brazil, reports said.
