ISLAMABAD, June 5 (Xinhua) -- A member of Pakistan's national parliament and his wife were injured in a parcel bomb blast in the southern port city of Karachi Friday, police said.
Yaqub Bizenjo was at home at the time of the blast at the city's defense housing locality, Deputy Inspector General A.D. Khwaja said.
Police said that Bizenjo's son and brother were also injured in the blast.
Senior Superintendent Police Ashfaq Alam said that the blast occurred after the parcel was received.
Bizenjo belongs to nationalist group, Balochistan National Party, Awami, from the Turbat district in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan.
The injured were shifted to a local hospital.
