TOKYO, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning at 9:00 a.m. (0000GMT) Wednesday for the country's eastern Pacific coast after a magnitude 8.0 earthquake hit the Pacific island nation of Samoa early Wednesday.
A possible tsunami of up to 50 cm is expected to reach Japan at around 11:00 a.m. at the earliest, the agency said.
