GENERAL SANTOS, Philippines, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo promised justice to the families of massacred journalists as she visited the wake here on Thursday.

Arroyo, along with Interior and Local Government Secretary Ronaldo Puno, told families of six slain journalists that those involved in the massacre would be punished.

"We will help in the studies of the children as well in finding justice," Arroyo told one of the families of slain journalists at Collado Funeral Home.

Mrs. Arroyo also went to the wake of four crews of UNTV among those killed in the township of Ampatuan in Maguindanao on Nov. 23.

Puno told reporters that others involved in the killings, including Andal Ampatuan Sr., the father of detained Andal Ampatuan Jr., will be arrested but the court will have to decide on the matter.
