Maliki's coalition leads in two provinces in Iraq's parliamentary election

BAGHDAD, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki was leading the parliamentary elections in two provinces in southern Iraq, according to preliminary results from the electoral commission on Thursday.

Maliki was ahead in Najaf and Babil in the largely Shiite south.
