MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Philippine President Benigno Aquino III said Monday the fact-finding report on last month's hostage crisis has been given to Chinese embassy officials.

"We gave them (Chinese authorities) a copy to prevent any possibility of miscommunication or misunderstanding," Aquino said in an interview with reporters.

Aquino said that the report, prepared by Incident Investigation and Review Committee (IIRC), will hopefully mend the country's stained relations with China following the bungled hostage rescue attempt that left eight tourists from Hong Kong dead.
