Iranian FM condoles demise of DPRK leader

TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi cabled a message on Tuesday to Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, to express his condolence over the death of the country's leader Kim Jong Il, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

In the message Salehi expressed sympathy with the DPRK government and nation over the death of their leader, and wished success, dignity, prosperity and welfare to the DPRK nation.

On Monday, the DPRK's state media announced the death of Kim Jong Il.
