BOGOTA, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Colombian National Police Wednesday destroyed 17 cocaine processing laboratories, seized 692 kg of basic cocaine and arrested 10 people in an anti-drug trafficking operation in the south of the country.
During the operation in the department of Guaviare, the police also destroyed a Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) camp, and seized 13 tons of chemical substances, 22 boats and two aircrafts, National Police Anti-drug director Luis Perez said.
Perez said the operation, which was conducted in rural zones of the municipalities of Calamar, El Retorno and Miraflores, was "very important" and was a direct damage against the FARC's finances.
