KATHMANDU, April 28 (Xinhua) -- At least 31 people were injured when a bus fell 200 meters down from the road on Saturday morning in western Nepal.
The passenger bus en-route to Surkhet in mid-western Nepal from the capital Kathmandu gave way to a jeep coming from the opposite side at around 6 a.m. local time, police said.
According to Ananda Martha, deputy superintendent of police, the injured passengers have been rushed to two local hospitals for treatment.
A rescue team has been deployed to the accident site, Martha added.
The jeep has also been damaged in the incident.
