NEW DELHI, May 13 (Xinhua) -- More than a year after it was envisaged, India and Pakistan will get a hot line soon which will enable real-time information sharing between the two countries, authority said Sunday.
"The hot line will be set up between the Home Secretaries of the two countries. The two top officials will be able to share real-time information on terror and terrorists using this hot line the sources said.
However, the final date is yet to be fixed.
"On our part, we are ready. We are waiting for Pakistan's response. Once we get the consent, the hot line will be set up," the sources said.
The next Home Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan are slated on May 24-25.
