A fire gutted a depot containing electoral material in the eastern Libyan city of Ajdabiya on Thursday, officials said, blaming the attack on arsonists.
Officials said the incident, which came just two days ahead of elections for a General National Congress, should not undermine the election because authorities had stored extra material elsewhere.
On July 1 some 300 armed men attacked the electoral commission's headquarters in Benghazi burning official documents and destroying computers. The parliamentary elections, the first in 45 years, are slated to be held on Saturday.
