Euro MPs have urged Israel to stop the expansion of its settlements in Palestinian land.
This was stated in a resolution which scaled the EU policy on the West bank and East Jerusalem adopted at the Parliament’s session in Istanbul on July 5.
The document says that the EU wants the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to end as soon as possible and the warring parties to achieve a comprehensive peace accord based on the existing resolutions of the UN Security Council.
Palestine refuses to resume dialogue with Israel until the latter stops its settlement activity on Palestinian land.
