The BfV, or the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, controlled by the Federal Minister of the Interior as well as the Bundestag, publicized its annual report on July 17.

According to the report, Chinese intelligence agents have been found frequently seeking chances to communicate with German officials, entrepreneurs, scholars and military personnel to spy on military or civil technology information.

It was also related that their main mission is to collect Germany’s economic and political information. There are about 79,000 Chinese who work and study in Germany, which is a big talent pool for Chinese intelligence services, said the report.
