ISLAMABAD, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Taliban Thursday claimed responsibility for the recent two attacks on Shiite Muslims, local media reported.
Dozens of people were killed and injured in three bomb attacks in the port city of Karachi and the garrison city of Rawalpindi.
Central Taliban spokesperson Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed the responsibility in his phone calls to the local media.
"Our men have carried out these attacks. We pay solute to these brave mujahedeen who sacrificed their lives. Actually Shias are our declared enemies. They are blasphemers who not only violate the teachings of Islam but also use derogatory language for the Sahaba (companions of Prophet Muhammad)," he said.
He challenged the Interior Minister Rehman Malik to stop Taliban fighters from attacks.
"However he beefed up the security measure, the attacks would be increased as no one can stop suicide bombers from their missions," Ihsan said.
