Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Saturday he will have to undergo another cancer operation in the coming days in Cuba.
"It is necessary for me to have a new intervention in the coming days," Chavez said in a televised speech.
He said he would have to return to Havana on Sunday after doctors found malignant cells during tests in Cuba.
The president returned to Caracas Friday after a 10-day stay in Cuba for post-cancer treatment.
Chavez, 58, has been battling with cancer since mid-2011. The ex-paratrooper, who won an reelection in October, travelled to Havana on Nov. 27 for more treatment after he claimed to have beaten cancer.
